One Saturday per month in Ruah (Cork), plus regular online gatherings.
​
This programme will be attractive to those who wish to renew, nourish and deepen their
commitment on the spiritual journey.
​
What is perhaps most unique about this course is the context of the learning within the Ruah
Home Environment where relationship, community and ongoing discernment is key. This
transformative approach will integrate contemplative spirituality with the best of modern
psychology and neuroscience.
It will creatively draw from the book of creation, life experience, scripture and spiritual wisdom
traditions.

We will assimilate and digest the learnings through crafting our own rhythm of life/rule of life.
This will be an ongoing process throughout the year which will help us to strip back some of the
busyness and speed and create a 'less is more' abundance.

The following are just a flavour of some of the themes we will integrate:

Nourishing the soul: navigating life's mysteries through ritual, poetry, music, story, film, art etc.
​
Desert and Celtic wisdom for today: rediscovering contemporary ways of living monastic
rhythms.
​
The art of discernment: guidance for times of transition, crossroads and decision making.
​
Wellbeing: holistic approach to healing and transformation.
​
The presence in the present moment: cultivating stillness, acceptance and compassion
through Christian Mindfulness.
​
Caring for creation: recognising and taking responsibility for the interconnected system where
we are all one in the awesome web of life.
​
Contemplation and Stillness: discovering the treasures of regular practice of meditation and
prayer through lectio Divina, centering prayer etc.
​
The learning environment will be creative and integrative in a small community context offering
the atmosphere of a nourishing retreat day each month.
